‘I will sweep 30 per cent of votes for NDC’

Mr. Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews, the Ashanti Regional Chairman-elect of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has hinted that he is targeting at least 30 per cent of the total votes in the Ashanti Region.

That he said would enhance the party’s chances of winning the 2020 elections.

He said it was also his avowed vision to increase the party’s current parliamentary seat from three to six in the region, a known “World Bank” for the ruling New Patriotic Party” (NPP).

Nana Andrews, who spoke about his vision to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Akyawkrom in the Ejisu Municipality, after his election into office, said he would stop at nothing to get this mission accomplished.

The Businessman and former Ashanti Regional Vice chair said he had a lot of winning strategies under his sleeves, but was going to be discreet about them and thus urged all party executives and communication directors to do same.

He called on all party members to bury their differences and unite to support whoever wins the upcoming flagbearer race, to enable him cruise the Party to victory in the 2020 elections.

“As a unifier, I will work with no biases and favouritism, but will accept all as brothers and sisters pursuing a common goal, but I will urge you all to remain loyal working in unity and peace to bring the party back to power in 2020”, he added.

He commended the party delegates and all candidates that contested in the recent regional elections for a successful election and said the party iwas the winner and that all members and followers should cooperate with the newly-elected executives to sustain the Party and guarantee victory in the 2020 elections.
