The people of Klikor in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region have been assured that the roads leading to the palace in the area will be asphalted if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) wins the 2016 elections and forms a government.
This assurance was given by the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who is embarking on a four-day tour of the Volta Region as part of his campaign ahead of the elections.
Nana Addo told the residents that: “I have been told one of your personal wishes is that the road to your palace should be tarred in the event that we win. Let me make a small promise to you, God-willing that will happen.”
In addition to the tarring of the road leading to the palace, he also promised to end the perennial water shortages that have plagued the people over the years if he becomes the next president of Ghana.
“I know there are special problems that you have; access to water. The institutions that deliver water, the Ghana Water Company and the Community and Water Sanitation team, will be strengthened so that water delivery will be an easier and satisfactory thing,” he promised.
