Mr Ishmael Abdul Hamid, CEO of Ishe Huss Company and Koyasco Info Tech limited who doubles as a financier of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has donated over 7,000 party paraphernalia and undisclosed sum of money to orphan constituencies of the Northern region.
The presentation includes 5,000 T shirts 2000 scarf worth several thousands of Ghana cedis.
Among the constituencies he has extended a helping hand to includes the Nanton, Tolon, Yendi, Gushegu, Tatale, Karaga, Bimbilla and the Mion constituencies.
This support he believes will go a long way to help the NDC win most of these constituencies that are currently held by the NPP to help the NDC form a huge majority in parliament come 7th December elections
Speaking to the media after handing over the donation to the party, Mr Ishmael revealed that the NDC missed out on these very seats to the NPP in the region because the various candidates were financially incapacitated.
This he opined made the candidates lose those seats, hence, the reason for him supporting those constituencies for a resounding victory for former President John Mahama and all parliamentary candidates of the party.
“Even though the various candidates are already on the field and campaigning seriously, I believe this support will augment the campaigns of the NDC in the region and all constituencies” Mr Ishmael said.
The IT Specialist has been embarking on a week’s outreach program across the 18 constituencies of the region as part of efforts to garner more support for the party.
These visit came with accompanying activities like football gala matches, door to door and retail campaigns.
On his visit to the Nanton constituency, a football gala was organized for first time voters aimed at energizing the base of the NDC party
In the Greater Tamale area that includes the Tamale North, Tamale South , Tamale Central and Sagnarigu constituencies which the NDC is occupying currently, party T-shirts were donated to various parliamentary candidates of the NDC to aid their campaigns
Cash donations were made to over 40 youth groups across to enhance their door to door campaigns Asked why he is investing into into politics at his age, he mentioned that there wasn’t a better way to invest in this country right now than “investing your time and resources to getting the NPP out of power”.
While on a door to door campaign in the Tamale north constituency, he urged all first time voters and market women to believe the in the transformational plans of HE John Dramani Mahama and vote massively for him to come salvage their plight
