Indiscipline cannot win a war -Woyongo advises NDC foot soldiers

Bolgatanga (UE), May 22, GNA - Mr Mark Woyongo, Upper East Regional Minister on Friday cautioned the National Democratic Congress (NDC) foot soldiers, regional and constituency executives to use the party structures to address their grievances, instead of resorting to other negative means which would affect the growth of the party.

The Minister issued the caution when he addressed regional and constituency executives and the foot soldiers of the Party, at separate functions in Bolgatanga Municipality and Bongo Districts of the region. It was at an outreach programme to brief the executives and foot soldiers of the NDC on government policies and programmes so far executed. The Regional Minister said the negative attitudes exhibited by some foot soldiers have to stop otherwise it could affect the party in the 2012 election.

"An indiscipline army cannot win a war. "Our Political opponents would exploit our indiscipline to their advantage, if we do not stop this misbehaviour," he cautioned.

Mr Woyongo urged the party foot soldiers to exercise restraint whilst government created more employment avenues for them. The Regional Minister told the party members to remember that the NDC Government was a social democratic party that had the interest of all Ghanaians and would do everything possible to improve the living conditions of all irrespective of one's stand.

He therefore entreated all regional and constituency executive to work hard to resolve the differences among party members at the constituency level, and to begin working towards winning more souls to the party, to enable it capture power in 2012.

He said he was optimistic that the party would capture all the 13 seats in the region, as the people in the area had began benefiting from the numerous interventions being introduced by the Government. He mentioned some of the interventions including the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) which would bring significant improvement in agriculture, education and health sectors when implemented.
