The vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has questioned former President John Dramani Mahama's ability to create jobs, a promise he made in his recently launched 2024 party manifesto.

Dr. Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, recalled that during Mahama's presidency, the former president told the youth that he was not a magician who could create jobs at a time when the country's unemployment rate had surged.

He therefore questioned why John Mahama is now promising to create jobs if elected in the upcoming December 7 polls.

“Is John Mahama now a magician promising jobs?” the NPP vice-presidential candidate asked when he spoke to party faithful at a campaign rally at Drobonso in the Ashanti Region.

During the rally Dr. Prempeh described Mahama's latest u-turn as a mark of desperation.

He then appealed to the people of Drobonso to trust the NPP, citing their achievements, including the Agenda 111 hospital, electricity supply, and a district court in Drobonso of the Ashanti Region.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Drobonso commended the NPP government for these projects.

During another campaign stop in Juaben, Dr. Opoku Prempeh met with the paramount Chief, Dasebre Nana Siriboe II, who praised the NPP's achievements, including the creation of the Juaben Municipal Assembly, road projects, educational infrastructure, and streetlights.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh thanked the Chief and reiterated Dr. Bawumia's commitment to working with traditional leaders.
