It appears that a vice president of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil, has thrown subtle jabs at the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, on social media.

In a Facebook post, Kofi Bentil referenced the campaign slogan "Not Going Back" used by the Vice President of the United States and the Democratic Party's nominee for the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris.

He suggested that Ghanaians should take inspiration from Kamala Harris' message.

Bentil urged Ghanaians not to return to the past and must strive for new leadership in the upcoming December 7, 2024, election, concluding his post with the NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s slogan: “It is Possible.”

“Kamala is marching to a win and one of her campaign slogans is…‘Not Going Back’… Ghana also has a chance to clear the past.

“It’s better to go forward to a future with fresh leaders than go back to the old rejected past… #itspossible,” he wrote on Facebook on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Although Kofi Bentil did not categorically mention any names, netizens have claimed that he is indirectly throwing jabs at John Mahama.

The former President has lost re-election twice, during the 2016 election and the 2020 election.
