Former Chief of Staff Hon. Julius Debrah on Saturday, March,24,2018 led a high powered delegation to the funeral of songstress Ebony on behalf of former President Mahama.

President Mahama who is out of Ghana on a commonwealth mission in Sierra Leone delegated Hon Julius Debrah to represent him with some of his past appointees.

The delegation included Spokesperson for the former President Hon. Joyce Bawa Mogtari, for Attorney General Marietta Brew Oppong, Hon Nii Lantey Vandapujie, MP for Odododiodio and for Sports minister, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare, former tourism minister, former Mayor of Accra and current MP for Ablekuma South.

Other members of the delegation includes Hon. Nana Oye Lithur former Women, children and gender protection minister, Alfred Oko Vanderpuye, Hon. Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo MP for Kpon Katamanso and former Greater Accra Minister, Capt(Rtd) Joshua Akamba, NDC deputy organiser, former deputy defence minister Hon. Ken Adjei, Hon Andy Osei former Deputy Ashanti regional minister Hon Ahmed Ramadan a Presidential staffer under President Mahama, Godwin Edudzi Tamaklo, Deputy Greater Accra NDC Youth Organiser and Dzifa Gunu an NDC Youth Activist.

Ebony met her untimely death on Thursday February 8,2018 together with two other associates when the jeep they were traveling in, slammed into an oncoming VIP bus on the Kumasi – Sunyani road. The driver of the vehicle fortunately escaped death.
