Kofi Adams Has Worked Hard For The Party But….- Yaw Boateng Gyan

The National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC – Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan who remained silent after the Deputy General Secretary of the party, Mr. Kofi Adams, showed interest in his position, has revealed to an Accra based radio station Montie FM that, he’s not scared of Kofi Adams but rather, embraces him in good faith.

In his submission, he confirmed that he will surely be contesting because he believes 2016 election is very controversial and that the party still needs people like him.

Talking about his position and the party, he said the current executive members are the winning team and so it will be prudent if they are maintained at their respective positions.

Speaking about Kofi Adams - who has shown interest in his position and highly campaigning towards that slot, Mr. Gyan admitted Kofi Adams is a hard working person. He further admitted that he knows the good work Kofi Adams has done in Central region for the party, but, it will be prudent if he goes ahead to retain his Deputy General Secretary position so that in 2018, he can go ahead and hold the General Secretary position.

“We are the winning team for the party so it would have been beautiful if Kofi Adams remain at the Deputy General Secretary position so that in 2018 he comes for the General Secretary, instead of Organizer” Yaw Boateng Gyan said.

Mr. Gyan intimated that Mr. Adams intentions or move to contest him is not in the best interest of the party – to him, it’s a recipe of great lost for the party.

“Now that Kofi want to contest me it’s going to be a great loss for the party,If he doesn’t lose, and I lose the party will lose one experience executive” Mr. Gyan feared.

When asked if he’s scared of Kofi Adams or not, he answered that he’s not scared of him, but rather, he embraces him and welcomes him to contest.

Responding to what people are saying about his age, he said that the National Organizer position is not about age.

He added that “I don’t hate Kofi Adams. I am part of those who stood in for him when he got issues with the party, and we still have good relationship - though it’s been long since I saw him.”
