Kufuor Is Very Wicked - Yammin

The Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Yammin says former President John Agyekum Kufuor is a wicked person because he failed to provide funds to complete several projects in the country.

“Former President Kufuor is very wicked,” the NDC bigwig declared to a thunderous applause from NDC supporters at a party programme in the Kwadaso Constituency last Saturday.

Yammin insisted that Mr. Kufuor viciously started the Sofoline Interchange project very late during his tenure, stating that former President Kufuor failed to provide money for the NDC government to fund the project.

The NDC secretary said the former Ghanaian leader, who hails from the Ashanti region, didn’t exhibit love to the people of Ashanti region during his eight-year tenure.

According to him, former president Kufuor should have started the Sofoline project early to ensure its completion.

Yammin claimed despite the huge support that Mr. Kufuor enjoyed from the people of Ashanti, especially Kumasi he failed to reciprocate the love of the people by embarking on meaningful projects in the area.

He therefore urged the people of Kumasi not to criticize the NDC administration for the delay in the completion of the Sofoline Interchange project, insisting “Kufuor should be blamed.”

Yammin entreated the populace to appreciate the tireless efforts of the NDC government to secure funds to continue with the massive Sofoline project.

According to him, President Mills has the people of Ashanti region and for that matter Kumasi at heart, hence the NDC government’s resolve to secure resources to complete programmes in the area.

He entreated the populace, especially those residing in the Ashanti region, to retain the NDC in the December polls.

Yaminin took part in a free medical screening and clean-up exercise organized by the NDC at the Kwadaso Constituency in Kumasi to help boost the electoral fortunes of the ruling party.**
