Lawyer Armah endorsed as CPP candidate for Tarkwa-Nsuaem

Tarkwa, June 3, GNA - Mr Joshua E. Armah, a 62-year-old Takoradi-based Lawyer was elected unopposed as the Convention People's Party (CPP) parliamentary candidate for the Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency at the Party's primaries held at Tarkwa over the weekend.

Captain Ben Kwofie (rtd), Western Regional Chairman of the Party, said the "CPP was back and would work hard to win the December 2004 Elections".

He said with the campaign period drawing closer, members and sympathisers must strategise for victory, adding: "Any lackadaisical attitude towards the elections could mean disaster for the Party." Mr Armah in his acceptance speech pledged to tackle education, health and unemployment when elected as the Member of Parliament.

He said he would ensure that quality education and health care were provided for the communities through their collaborative efforts instead of relying on the Government.
