Lawyer picks forms to contest NPP primaries

Samuel Abakah, two times contestant in the NPP primaries within the Aboadze Abuesi Constituency, on Monday picked a form to contest in the upcoming primaries of the party for a Member of Parliament position.

Mr. Abakah, a legal practitioner, was followed by a crowd of party supporters’ amidst brass band music on reaching the party office at about 01500 hours yesterday to officially confirm his participation in the upcoming race where he paid GH¢1000.00 for the nomination form.

The lawyer, a native of Aboadze Abuesi, described himself to journalists as a home boy who felt the need and wants of his people adding, “I have gone to fishing before, I have sold before and I have engaged myself in all legitimate activities that rural folks are bound to do, and so I am the right candidate to represent my constituency”.

He said as a unifier, he would work in bringing the party together in that area, promote agriculture and agro-businesses and uplift the standard of education in the area when given the nod to lead the constituency.

Mr. Joseph Amo, Constituency Chairman of the NPP said, such activities activated party structures and called for effective and right communication procedures to advance the course of the party.
