Alhaji Hudu Mogtari has called on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Wa Central Constituency to bury their differences and unite to ensure victory for both Dr. Rashid Pelpuo and former President John Dramani Mahama.

He encouraged party members to build bridges and leave behind negative baggage and ill feelings stemming from the party's internal parliamentary primaries.

Alhaji Hudu also stated his sincere reconciliation in the supreme interest of the National Democratic Congress.

The former Food and Drugs Authority boss further declared his full support for all eleven parliamentary candidates, including candidate Dr. Rashid Pelpuo and the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

Addressing party supporters at his residence during this year's Eid-Ul-Adha celebration, Alhaji Hudu Mogtari said, "The ambition to win all parliamentary seats in the Upper West Region must begin in the Wa Central Constituency because the seat is crucial for the NDC. Agenda eleven-eleven will be meaningless without victory in Wa Central.

"For this victory to be realized in Wa Central, we must reconcile, unite, and focus on marketing our message to the voters to rescue this country from the incompetent NPP."

He added, "We did not gather here this evening as supporters of Alhaji Hudu Mogatri, Mutiu Rahman, Wahid Bampuori, or Rashid Pelpuo, but we are here to engage in progressive conversations in the interest of the great NDC."

Hundreds of party youth gathered at the residence of Alhaji Hudu Mogtari on the evening of Sunday, June 16, 2024, to celebrate and mark this year's Eid-Ul-Adha.

It also provided a platform for positive discussions on the future prospects of the NDC in the constituency and the region.

Alhaji Hudu Mogtari's declaration comes at a crucial moment when the constituency is perceived to be divided following events at the parliamentary elections held in 2023.

Several youth activists who spoke at the ceremony praised Alhaji Hudu for his significant efforts in reshaping politics within the Wa Central Constituency.
