Let us unite for Positive Change Chapter Two - Secretary

Tamale, June 20, GNA - Mr Cliford Abdallah Briamah, the Northern Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, on Monday called on members of the party to remain united for the party to achieve its Positive Change Chapter Two agenda to continue to win the mandate of Ghanaians in elections.

"Positive Change Chapter Two is so crucial to the party that members can not afford to disappointment Ghanaians," he told the GNA in an interview.

Mr Braimah called on members to endure any hardship, pain and frustration they might face in the course of playing their roles as committed members to ensure success of the party.

Mr. Braimah said some supporters of people who contested for the post of District Chief Executives (DCEs) and lost were engaging in acts that would divide the party and this might stray its focus.

He said those DCEs who had not been retained did not mean that they were incompetent or corrupt but it was the decision of the President to use his prerogative to choose his representatives in the districts. "That does not mean that those who have not been appointed as DCEs are left out of the boat. This is the time for us to work harder than before to justify the confidence the good people of Ghana have reposed in us to rule the country for the second time," Mr Braimah said.
