The Special Voting exercise at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency is currently underway, and the process is proceeding smoothly so far.

Security personnel from various agencies and the media are casting their ballots ahead of the December 7 general elections.

At the Legon Police Station polling center, voters have turned up in large numbers, forming queues as they wait to cast their votes.

In an interview with GhanaWeb, the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, who was present at a polling station to monitor the procedure, expressed her satisfaction with the voting process and commended the efficiency with which the Electoral Commission officials were conducting the elections at the center.

“I’m impressed with how everything was on point and timely. They started exactly at 7am as some of us came here to conduct our monitoring to ensure everything is in place. The process has been smooth, orderly and I don’t expect nothing less…” she said.

Also present at the Legon Police Station to monitor the process was John Dumelo, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, who also expressed confidence in winning the elections.
