Mac-Manu calls for collaboration between party, executive, appointees

Kumasi, Oct 25, GNA - Mr. Peter Mac-Manu, aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has advocated for an effective collaboration between District Chief Executives, Members of Parliament, constituency and polling station executives to ensure that problems and grievances are addressed in order to reduce apprehensions and anxieties among members of the party at the constituency levels. He said, if given the mandate as the national chairman of the party, he would work to ensure that all stakeholders in the party at the constituency levels were brought together periodically to interact among themselves to find ways to solve petty problems amicably before they degenerate into conflict.

Mr. Mac-Manu, who is the Western Regional Chairman of the NPP, stated this at a meeting with constituency executives from the Atwima-Nwabiagya, Mponua, Kwanwoma, Kwadaso and Ahafo-Ano North and South at Abuakwa near Kumasi on Monday as part of his national campaign for the chairmanship position.

He said, when voted into office he would establish an effective intelligence and research units in order to ensure that the party knew the backgrounds of all prospective appointees to higher positions in the party.

He would also strengthen the capacities of the constituency executives and polling station chairmen to enable them to initiate effective revenue mobilization programmes to raise funds for their activities.

Mr. Mac-Manu called on them to give him their mandate to enable him translates all visions and ideas to move the party to victory in the 2008 elections.

Mr. John Boadu, aspiring youth organizer, said, when elected, he would work to ensure the provision of a credible data on all members, especially the youth of the party.

He would also advocate for the establishment of an ideological school to equip members of the party with the ideals and believes of the party to enable them to know what the party stood for. Mr Boadu pledged to liaise with Ministries that deal directly with the youth to ensure that the youth in the party benefited from their activities.
