Founder and Leader of the United Front Party (UFP), Akwasi Addai Odike, has taken a swipe at the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, describing him as a visionless leader.
According to him, John Dramani Mahama’s programmes and policies being proposed are a clear indication that the former President just wants to come back to finish his eight-year tenure.
To him, there will not be a need for the people to vote for John Dramani Mahama if they need development in the right direction.
“John Dramani Mahama who is a former president says he will introduce Women’s Bank, how can that give money to women? Don’t women have the opportunity to save their money or transact business in the existing Banks? For a former President to say this is his vision is clear that he has nothing to offer the people of Ghana.
"CSO should support one agenda. Any political party that will come up with a manifesto should not be supported because these manifestos are not sustainable. If it’s a national agenda we will support but a manifesto will not be supported. We are coming up with a national agenda and not a manifesto. Our national agenda will be entrenched in the constitution so that the development agenda will be continued even after we have left power,” he said.
He continued “We will undertake a constitutional review and get a national policy think tank that will ensure that the views of the people are taken into consideration to ensure that they are well thought through and implemented to help the people.”
