The Volta Regional Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised journalists to check the authenticity of groups claiming to be aligned to the Party before giving them coverage.
Mr Egypt Kudoto, the Youth Organizer of the NDC in the Volta Region said this in a chat with journalists in Ho.
He said groups such as Volta Freedom Fighters (VFF), which recently organized a press-conference in Ho to damn Koku Anyidoho, a Deputy General Secretary of the NDC for allegedly defaming compatriot NDC members, was not known to the Party at all.
The VFF leaders at that press-conference, clad in NDC colours, claimed they were former executives of various chapters of the Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC.
Mr Kudoto said the group was entirely responsible for its statements, and that, the group could be a makeshift one brought together for the machinations of shadowy figures.
Mr Kudoto said the executives of the institution branches of the NDC, once out of school, had the choice to be in other organs within the structures of the NDC, and not in the shadows of some disgruntled party members to cause confusion.
Mr Kudoto, who was flanked by, Youth Organizers from some constituencies, said the NDC had grievance resolution procedures that members as individuals or recognized groups should follow.
He said there is no one in the NDC in the region or associated with the region, working against the interests of the NDC and for that matter President John Mahama.
