Mr. Fritz Baffour, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South has called on the electorate to renew his mandate to enable him to continue with the on-going development projects.
He said "Since assumption of office, the constituency has experienced tremendous development in terms of construction of roads, school buildings, health centres and youth empowerment.
"The development of the Constituency is my priority. I would ensure that we have good roads, schools and health centres while the perennial frequent water shortage and electricity problems encountered become a thing of the past.”
Mr. Baffour made the appeal at the official launch of his Parliamentary Campaign for Election 2012, at Chorkor, a fishing community in Accra. It was attended by a large number of party supporters.
He pledged to embark on a house-to-house campaign to ensure that the NDC retained the parliamentary seat because the house-to-house initiative adopted in Election 2008 enabled the NDC to solicit more votes in its quest to win the elections.
Mr. Baffour, who is also the Minister of Information, said it was time for the NDC to sit up and unite as a party in power to help “imprison the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in opposition forever”.
He advised activists of the party in the Constituency to be committed to winning the hearts of voters.**
