The Northern Regional Minister, Abdallah Abubakari is leaving nothing to chance to ensure that his resolve to unseat the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Walewale Constituency Dr. Sagri Bambangi is not an exercise in futility.

Walewale is also the hometown of the Vice Presidential Candidate of the NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia but the minister has indicated his determination to win the seat during the November 7 polls after two failed attempts.

Abdallah Abubakari who is the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the area at the weekend, kick-started a vigorous campaign aimed at ending the reelection bid of the incumbent MP.

Accompanied by the Northern Regional Chairman of the NDC, Sofo Awudu Azorka, they visited Janga and Wungu all communities in the Walewale District where they underscored the need for residents to vote massively for the NDC during the polls.

According to the minister, the NDC is the only party that can transform their lives as christened in its #Changinglives #transforminghana project.

“We will make sure that what is due you is given”, he stated.

At Wungu, 200 persons purported to be members of the NPP defected to the NDC.

In 2012, the NPP won all the four ballot boxes in that community with a wide margin largely because its candidate hails from the area.
