An executive member of Tema East branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised party members to be up and doing by getting abreast with trending issues in their rank and file.
“If I am a Bagbin supporter who is helping his campaign with stories in the media, how does this create room for unnecessary criticism? It is a very comical situation that readily sparks laughter, but it is not something to be ignored. Some constituency executives are acting this way out of total ignorance of what their authorities are,” Moshake said.
In a statement signed and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Monday, Stephen Ashitey Adjei, alias Moshake, decried the inability of most party members to have a foothold of their roles and responsibilities.
“I will like to urge members to provide some services to our party members by writing simple rejoinders in response to media publications, rather than attacking each other.”
He also asked them to elect politically intelligent people that could hold the leadership of the party and to hold educational forums for the party’s executives, especially those at the Constituency level to properly orientate them to their duties.
Moshake said although the NDC was one political party, it was not wrong for members to support individual candidates.
“We can have our differences, but we shall all eventually support the winner at the end of the day.”
