Movement For Mahama
Spokesperson’s Address At The Launch. 14th October,2012
// Greetings and chanting of slogan//
Today is indeed a very commemorative one my fellow citizens of Ghana. I say this not because I stand here as the spokesperson of this worthy movement but for the fact that hope has been restored to the good people of this country. We now have the assurance that the country is on a steady path to economic transformation as well as development.
Opportunities have come to the youth and women; we launch this campaign with a clean-up exercise not only to create sanitation awareness but also to show that we can be responsible for ourselves and our surroundings. This initiative is to encourage our mothers and sisters in the markets to be health conscious as well as bring the campaign message of president John Mahama right to their doorsteps. We have come to re-assure you that the President has each and everyone of you in mind and you will not be left out of the “Better Ghana Agenda”.
The “Movement for Mahama” was an initiative by a group of young and vibrant men and women who believe in the grand agenda of transforming this country and making it better. The group has its foundations on the youthful inspiration of President. Mahama and as such we decided to organise a team of young people to rally behind the vision of our great leader. The world is a dynamic one and as such, globalization has evolved through several stages, our leader is current and understands the modern trend of governance. The welfare of women and children is very dear to the heart of President John Dramani Mahama, as youthful as he is, we the youth believe that he understands our plights and is more capable of addressing these issues. He has given us the assurance that with the help of God, he will tackle issues on unemployment, training and youth empowerment.
We therefore call on all of you to support the movement and join the pursuit of the “Better Ghana Agenda” which was the vision of our late father the good Prof. J.E.A Mills of blessed memory, and is still being pursued by his astute successor president John Mahama.
We should all be excited today particularly our women in view of the fact that the NDC manifesto has almost every caption covering women and children strongly. Issues like child health and education, maternal healthcare, women empowerment and SME (Small and medium scale enterprises) packages favoring our women more. So for our mothers and sisters who are currently trading, there are a lot of supportive packages for your small businesses as well as very flexible credit facilities. Opportunities have come to the youth, hope will be restored to the older generation, life will be flexible and bearable when this great vision is accomplished.
People matter, You matter, Everybody matters… join us to campaign for John Mahama, lets rally behind this youthful and inspiring man. Let us Vote In Mahama…. VIM VIM and more VIM.
