Muslim Coalition fights NDC Parliamentary aspirant

The Ghana Muslim coalition for reformation has chastised the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso Central, William Affum Ani Adjei popularly known as Alajo Obama for some unsavory comments he might have made on Easter Monday.

Alajo Obama on Easter day is alleged to have said that the leadership of the Muslim Communities have secretly met and hatched a plan to annex Africa to Saudi Arabia. In furtherance of that, he stated that they are offering special scholarships to their children and that Christians must therefore rise up before it¹s too late.

The spokesperson for the group, Sheikh Anwar Sadat at a press conference today stated that in his speech at the Easter Convention at the Christ Apostolic Church sought to blackmail and denigrate Islam by spurious and fabricated allegations, adding that all this was in his quest to further the sinister agenda for further alienating Islam.

³Instead of preaching peace, this religio-centric minded politician ceased the opportunity to spew out inflammatory and impassioned comments about Islam and Muslims in Ghana², he said.

Sheikh Anwar Sadat added that ³Alajo Obama has an extreme hatred for the Islam community and it¹s so deep, so much so that he prefers Muslims remain in their abyss of poverty and ignorance².

³Islam has stood the test of time and Alajo Obama and his assigns can wince and cringe about the success of Islam and Muslims but they cannot shake the foundation of what we stand for².

?

³His vituperation has no impact on our spirit, it has rather strengthened our resolve as Muslims in our war against poverty, disease and under development and neither fear nor any foe can quench that burning fire in us².

He made it clear that Muslims and Christians have coexisted peacefully for a long time now, and so they would rather take consolation in the fact that the majority of Christians do not think the way of Alajo Obama.

Sheikh Anwar Sadat called upon the Christian Council, the Ghana Bar Association, Ghana journalist Association, Parliament, Muslim Chiefs and Spirited Civil Society Organization to come out and condemn the statement by Alajo Obama to safeguard peace in the country.
