“My constituents are solidly behind me” – Fuseini

Accra, Aug. 18, GNA – Mr Inusah Fuseini, Member of Parliament for Tamale Central, on Thursday said detractors of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not affect the fortunes of the party in 2012.

He said Tamale Central constituents were solidly behind him and the NDC and they would support it to retain power in 2012 for the Government to continue with its “Better Ghana Agenda”.

Mr Inusah, who is also a Deputy Minister of Energy, told the GNA in Accra on Thursday that the NDC constituency executive was his campaign team with him as the leader.

He said according to the party’s structure, the executives had so far proved their competence, adding that they had helped him to win elections.

“I will continue to depend on them for my political success.”

He said patience was the key to overcoming challenges and appealed to his constituents to remain calm and continue to support the Government since the national cake would be distributed equitably.

Mr Inusah said there had been a lot of infrastructural improvement in the constituency, which were visible. “Some are completed while others are ongoing and are in various stages of completion.”

He said the Government would never abandon the people, adding that the Government would continue to solicit support from all Ghanaians to help it to retain power in 2012.

Mr Inusah said individuals had the liberty to associate with any political party but “they should not do so with the aim of destroying others”.

Alhaji Ibrahim Yussif Andani, Tamale Central Constituency chairman of the NDC, also told the GNA that the constituency had faith in the MP and would vote overwhelmingly to retain him and President Mills.
