NAPO is also from my palace, he is not arrogant – Buipe-Wura Jinapor II tells Bawumia

Buipe-Wura Abdulai Jinapor II has refuted assertions that the vice-presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), is arrogant as people perceive him to be.

Buipe-Wura Abdulai Jinapor II, who made this remark when the flagbearer of the NPP, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, called on him on July 16, 2024, indicated that he knows NAPO very well because he is also his subject.

The chief assured Dr. Bawumia that just like the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, he would advise NAPO to serve him (Dr. Bawumia) steadfastly.

“Bawumia, listen to me very well. You are wise enough today. When you go, tell Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) that the Buipe-Wura said 'I should greet you'.

“Matthew Opoku Prempeh is not only coming from the Asantehene’s palace; Matthew Opoku Prempeh also comes from this particular parish. He is from this palace. When you ask him, he will tell you the rest of the story.

He added, “And I know very well. When he tells you the story, you will come back. The way Asantehene has spoken to him, I would equally speak to him. The way people perceive or look at him to be, that is not how he is. And when you go, greet him for me.”
