Legendary Ghanaian sound engineer Fred Kyei Mensah, better known as Fredyma, has disclosed that he was in the choir with Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), the running mate for the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, during their time at Prempeh College in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.

Fred Kyei-Mensah was recounting how his music career began in an interview on Channel One TV on July 20.

“So, I had the opportunity to go to Prempeh College and I joined the school choir. That’s where my music journey started. So, joining the school choir, I had some tutorials from our music teacher, the late Dominic. Fortunately, in the school choir, do you know who I was in the school choir? Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh. He was a chorister. He was singing alto and I was singing tenor,” he added.

Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, is a seasoned politician who has held several significant roles in government.

As the immediate past Minister of Energy, he played a crucial role in shaping Ghana's energy policies and strategies aimed at ensuring sustainable and efficient energy supply for the country.
