Wards of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency have given their support to Mr Bright K. Demordzi, the incumbent Member of Parliament.

They said besides ensuring continuity in development, Mr Demordzi has exhibited high sense of leadership and has brought many development projects to the constituency.

The wards are Galelia, Tuba, Amanfro, Bortianor, Akwasa, Kokrobite and Oshiyie Electoral Areas. They were calved from the Weija Constituency during the 2012 demarcation exercise by the Electoral Commission.

Speaking at a rally at Bortianor Methodist Park to re-launch the campaign of Mr Demordzi Bortianor for the Ngleshie Amanfro Constituency; Mr Ellywhimscal Edrola-Elly, Campaign Coordinator for Galelia Electoral Area, called on the NDC members to vote massively for the MP.

He urged the NDC members to also vote massively for President John Dramani Mahama and Mr Demordzi to signify affirmation for continuity of visionary leadership for Ghana and the Constituency.

Mr Peter Allotey, Amanfro Campaign Coordinator, said hitherto, they were an orphan constituency until the arrival of Mr Demordzi, and pledged his support to ensure his retention at the NDC November 21 Parliamentary primaries.

Mr Bright Abayatei of the Bortianor Electoral Area, said the good work of the MP deserved a full endorsement to enable him to continue and conclude the works he had initiated and urged NDC delegates to vote massively for him.

Mr Nicholas Agbomanyi, Akwasa Electoral Area, Mr Yaw Boi, Kokrobite Electoral area and Mr Muntari Agbo, Tuba Electoral Area, all declared their support to retain the MP for Elections 2016.

Mr Demordzi pledged to continue to work hard to bring development to the Constituency noting that his aim is to bring total development to the people, transform the condition and offer visionary leadership.

He called for unity within the party, stressing that “within the NDC we consider each member as a family member; we must work together to support each other and ensure that President Mahama is retained in Election 2016.

Mr Demordzi also admonished all NDC leaders to move out boldly to proclaim the good works of the NDC; saying “we have a proud legacy bequeathed to us by Papa Jerry John Rawlings, Professor John Evans Atta Mills and it is being jealously guided by President Mahama”.

Thousands of supporters trooped to the Bortianor Methodist Park to offer their support to the MP.
