NDC, NPP supporters in Wa asked to tolerate one another

WA, Feb. 11, GNA - Mr. Mahmud Khalid, the Upper West Regional Minister, has urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party in Wa to tolerate one another as they pursue their political ambitions.

He said it was important the two major political parties do not see each other as enemies.

"The NPP has done its part in the development of this region and the NDC will continue from where they left off", he said. Mr. Khalid was speaking at Wa during the 40th day funeral rites of Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Montana, father of Alhaji Abubakari Abdul-Rahman, Upper West Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party. He called on the supporters to begin to see themselves as one people with common aspirations, adding that with unity they could achieve so many things by way of development. The funeral which did not witness any trace of partisanship was attended by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Mr. Peter Mac-Manu, National Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey a former Minister of State and an aspiring National Chairman of the party and other high profile members of the party.
