NDC Tamale Central splinter groups urged to unite

Members of the Concerned Citizens of National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tamale Central, have called on other splinter groups in the constituency to bury their differences for the common good of the party.

The group said the activities of the splinter groups have been damaging the reputation of the party in the constituency and not propagating the good works of its Member of Parliament, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini.

Mr Yunus Mohammed, Chairman of the Concerned Citizens of NDC said at a news conference in Tamale at the weekend that d the situation had made the political atmosphere in the constituency to be “One of uneasy calm and mistrust.”

In recent times, about four splinter groups have emerged from the NDC in the Tamale Central Constituency, with each engaging in acts to either damage the reputation or propagate the achievements of Alhaji Fuseini.

Mr Mohammed said such acts are unhealthy for the interest of the party, adding his group “has resolved to overcome the differences of members of the party...to follow the path of peace and unity for the common good of the party”.

He said: “Whatever be the case of members in relation to Alhaji Fuseini, we should not sweep his noble achievements under the carpet.”

He used the opportunity to enumerate some of the achievements of Alhaji Fuseini, which included construction of classroom blocks and roads in the constituency.
