The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is leaving no stone unturned in its quest to snatch the Nsawam Adoagyiri parliamentary seat, currently held by Frank Annoh-Dompreh of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communications, has revealed.

According to him, the plan to capture the seat forms part of the NDC’s agenda 50-50 programme for the 2016 elections, which aims at splitting the votes in the Eastern Region, a region which has long been considered a stronghold of the NPP.

Currently, President John Mahama and several executives of the NDC are in the region campaigning in preparation for the elections.

Dr Omane Boamah, a member of the president’s entourage in the region, told Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, host of Ekosii Sen, an afternoon political show, on Thursday October 27: “Nsawam Adoagyiri is one of the seats we (NDC) are targeting in the elections.”

He was full of optimism that the plans put in place by the NDC’s team would enable the party to secure the seat without difficulty.
