An aide to the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Charles Owusu, has spelt doom for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) even before the December 7 polls this year.

The Minority NDC Members in Parliament staged a walkout of Parliament minutes before President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo delivered his fourth State of the Nation Address (SoNA) last Thursday.

Debate on the SoNA started on Tuesday in Parliament and even though the minority were present, they refused to participate.

But to Charles Owusu, their action is a clear signal that the NDC will stay in opposition for a long time, since "no one cares" whether they will participate or not.

"That is not what we need . . . opposition parties don’t lose elections, they win; it is government in power that loses. NDC are in opposition, they’ve lost the elections already," he said.

He strongly believes the 2020 election has already been decided and the NDC are not the winners.

“We have finished voting already even before December . . . You said you should be given another chance to come back to power; a party which boycotts State of the Nation Address without any legitimate reason, is that an alternative? You want to come back to power; is this your alternative?" he quizzed on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.
