NDC remains strong ? Prof Mills

The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. J.E.A. Mills. has said the party remains united and strong despite the perceived disintegration of the NDC.
He said nothing can divide the NDC which has a proven democratic record.
Addressing a rally at Asankragwa on Monday, Prof. Mills said the party would continue to fight for improvement in the socio-economic standard of Ghanaians.
?We would not depart from our convenant with Ghanaians, neither would we turn our backs on them?, he stressed. He said Ghanaians have lost confidence in the NPP administration which does not see anything wrong in prescribing harsh conditions for Ghanaians.
He said the NDC continues to work with the truth which will ensure victory for the party in the Amenfi West by-election and the 2004 elections.
He emphasised that the NDC will regain political power in 2004. The NDC Parliamentary candidate, Mr Gerald Danquah for his part urged his supporters to guard against being induced with material gains by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The other candidates contesting the poll are Ms Agnes Sonful for NPP and Mr Ebo Archer for DPP.
