He stated that the Member of Parliament of Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, has been appointed to take up the up the role of Majority Leader and he will be assisted by the Member of Parliament of Cape Coast South, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, who would serve as Deputy Majority Leader.
The Member of Parliament of South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, will also assume the position of Majority Chief Whip, replacing the outgoing Kwame Governs Agbodza, now the Minister of Roads and Highways.
The reorganisation of leadership follows President John Dramani Mahama's appointment of four leaders in Parliament to ministerial positions.
The announcement by Dr. Ato Forson followed criticism from the Member of Parliament of Kpandai, Matthew Nyindam, that the NDC was delaying parliamentary proceedings due to the lack of clarity over its new leadership.
