Ahead of the November 7 polls, the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has decided to train its communicators, especially those in the Greater Accra region, where the seat of government is located, in order to become adept at articulating the successes of the government contained in the Green Book, to the electorate.
The Communications Director of the NDC, Solomon Nkansah, explained that communication in an election year is not the “normal” type of communication, given that any blunder could derail the chances of the party in winning the polls, hence the NDC’s decision to train its communicators on the dos and don’ts in communications.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Radio XYZ on Wednesday May 11, Solomon Nkansah stated that the communicators would be trained on their analytical skills as well as challenges facing a communicator in the electioneering season.
“You need to train them to avoid bad press at this time,” he said.
