NDC unruffled by calls on Nana Addo

.... to contest election 2016

Ashanti regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress say they are unperturbed by calls for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to lead the largest opposition party to the next General Elections.

Many leading members of the opposition NPP including the party’s General Secretary have called on Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to reconsider his break from active politics and come back to contest the next elections. The Ashanti regional Executives of the party Monday visited Nana Addo at his Nima residence to urge him not to give up his Presidential ambition yet.

The NDC within the Ashanti region however say, Nana Addo’s participation in the 2016 elections is of no consequence to the NDC’s fortunes.

Acting Ashanti regional NDC Secretary, Raymond Tandoh in an interview with Ultimate Radio’s Bernard Buachi insists “the NDC is not afraid of Nana Addo”. He says “Akufo Addo started his campaign two years ahead of President Mahama but it took President Mahama three months to undo all that Nana Addo had propagated. Nana Addo’s participation will even make the work easier for the NDC in 2016, so they should bring him.”

Raymond Tandoh tells Ultimate radio the NDC government would have improved Ghana’s economy significantly by 2016. He believes the expected economic improvement will give the NDC a steeper lead in the General Elections.
