The founder and leader of United Progressive Party (UPP), Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike has fired a shot at the two major political parties; ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) describing members as thieves.

“Both NPP and NDC have connived to steal from Ghanaians”, he alleged on Kumasi-based Angle FM during panel discussion monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

According to the businessman, corruption under President Akufo-Addo has not changed from his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama and to some extent, worse than previous administrations Ghanaians have witnessed.

“There is no change in terms of fighting corruption under President Akufo-Addo comparing it to John Mahama’s time”, the UPP founder told host Kwame Tanko on Kumasi-based Angel Fm adding: “I can give you more evidence to show you corruption is even worsening in this government”.

Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike who was commenting on corruption allegations levels against the suspended Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), Mr. AB Adjei, said it is among several corruption allegations that have the tendency to send the NPP government to opposition if pragmatic steps are not taken to end corruption immediately.

“I want to send a strong advice to President Akufo-Addo that, corruption among his appointees will make him a one term President like Ghanaians did to John Mahama if he does not know”, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike exclaimed .
