NPP Supporters Urged to Trumpet Party's Achievements

Space FM, August 21- The General Secretary of the ruling NPP, Nana Ohene Ntow, has called on the party's foot soldiers and supporters to continuously trumpet the achievements of the government to let the electorate know about the good works of the party.

The General Secretary was ddressing a day's workshop for the Northern Regional and Constituency Executives of the NPP in Tamale.

The workshop, was under the theme: "Consolidating Our Gains," and was to map out effective plans to enable the NPP to retain power in the 2008 General Elections.

Nana Ohene Ntow said it is only when the electorate get to know and understand the achievements of the party that they would be convinced to return the party to power in 2008.

He said the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme, the Capitation Grant, the School Feeding Programme, the construction of roads through out the country and the National Youth Employment Programme, are some of the laudable achievements of the government that party members should tell Ghanaians about.

He said the NPP is confronted with an opponent that has nothing good to offer, but only believes in telling lies and urged the NPP foot soldiers to embark on a "Campaign of truth and facts."

The national chairman of the NPP, Mr Peter Mac Manu, said the party has a responsibility to protect the country's democracy and that can be done by winning the 2008 elections adding that under the NPP government, Ghanaians are assured of a middle-income status by 2015.
