NPP Youth Activists Roots For Aliu In The B/A Region.

A group of young NPP youth activist last week set the Brong Ahafo region alive by combining constituency to constituency canvassing for support for the Vice president Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

The group numbering about four expressed the need to go for a unifying candidate who is respectful, respectable and approachable. According to them the NPP has been presented with the brightest opportunity of giving a true meaning of its democratic tradition

The group underscored the achievements of the NPP as the only political party in the country to have given the chance to both a northerner and at the same time a Muslim to occupy the second highest position in the country.

The group described the performance of aliu mahama as excellent comparing him to his competitors and vice presidents across Africa.

They noted that, since the man has understudied the act of governing the nation for the past seven years and on many occasions held the nation together, it will be good for the nation to have such an experienced person to continue from where His Excellency president Kuffour will depart.

The group indicated that if favoritism and tribalism will be separated from issues like competence and experience, there is no doubt that Alhaji Aliu Mahama will get the nod.

To them Ghana needs another humble and listening leader to continue with the good works of president Kuffour.

They advocated that since the party was not too strong in the northern region due to the NDC’s age long propaganda of the NPP being an Akan Party, the time has come to diffuse that and win the northerners to our side for accelerated development.

They said “now all the Zongo communities are poised to vote for the NPP regardless of their political affiliations if Aliu Mahama gets the nod.

The group also took turns to answer questions from other constituency executives and party agents.

They said all the aspirants are distinguished personalities but Aliu stands out among the lot and likely to win all the floating voters which forms the winning bloc in any election.
