Mr. Stephen Ntim, an aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been described by a member of the Communication Team of the party as the missing link that binds supporters of the party in the Brong Ahafo (BA) region to sealing the deal of winning power for the party in the 2016 elections.
Considering the fact that NPP has consistently amassed votes close to 50 per cent from the Eastern and Ashanti regions, Richard Asante Yeboah believes the dream of his political party to win 2016 elections will be a reality if the delegates vote for Mr. Stephen Ntim who hails from B/A.
For what seems to be an endorsement on Okay Fm’s Ghana Decides program, the NPP communicator rooted for Mr. Stephen Ntim for the National Chairmanship position, saying the latter will make the people of Brong Ahafo have a sense of belonging to the UP tradition.
He added that the ruling National Democratic Congress has been favored by the people of Brong Ahafo region due to the fact that the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Organizer Yaw Boateng Gyan and the First Lady Lordina Mahama, are all natives of the region.
“Though everybody has a favorite in the aspirants, I believe that there are people who can excel and inure to the benefit of the party when they are given the opportunity to serve the party... I prefer we go for someone like Mr. Stephen Ntim to be the chairman of the party to represent the people of Brong Ahafo to annex more votes for NPP… B/A has always been the region of NPP, but it appears NDC has taken over the region….we are gradually losing the region of Busia which is the traditional capital of NPP,” he pontificated.
