Some communicators of the New Patriotic Party, who abstained from defending government policies in the media, have rescinded their action.
The communicators changed their minds after a crunch meeting with the Volta Regional Minister and party Executives on Sunday.
The communicators, numbering about 21 had through a communique, resolved not to participate in any radio and TV discussion on the 2018 budget statement and other government communication activities, over what they described as ‘ill-treatment’ from some Regional party officers and government functionaries in the region.
However, after a crunch meeting with the party hierarchy including the Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa at the weekend, the NPP communicators have agreed to a roadmap for the resolution of their grievances, a reason for the suspension of their strike action.
Moses Aglina, one of the aggrieved communicators told Starr news, his colleagues were satisfied with the road map, hence rescission of their boycott.
“We met the Regional leadership of the party and the minister, we laid some issues before them and they gave us a roadmap. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, so we have resolved to suspend the strike and resume communicating for the party and government,” he explained.
