NPP delegates urged to elect Nana Akufo-Addo

Mr Gibrine Tanko Toye, Agona West Constituency Vice Chairman of New Patriotic Party (NPP) has exhorted delegates to elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo as flag bearer in the October 18, national delegate congress.

This according to him would enable the party win the 2016 general election, adding Nana Akufo Addo has been marketed and accepted by the grassroots of the party including floating voters.

Mr Tanko Toye made this known to journalists at the celebration of Eid-ul- Adha, which is Muslims festival of sacrifice at Agona Swedru at the weekend.

“A vote for Nana Akufo-Addo will make the party’s campaign in 2016 easier,” he said.

He said Nana Akufo Addo is a visionary leader who could lead the NPP to win power.

The Vice Chairman said during a visit to Germany, he met friends of Nana Akufo Addo who promised to raise funds to assist Agona West Constituency Campaign in 2016 to wrest power from the ruling NDC.

The Vice Chairman urged the delegates not to make a mistake to vote for another person.

He said the NPP cannot afford to lose the 2016 elections, adding: Ghanaians would not forgive the party if it allows pettiness and parochial interests to over ride it.

Mr Tanko Toye hinted that NDC incompetency and massive corruption have brought untold economic hardship on Ghanaians and must be defeated in the next general election.

Mr Tanko Toye called on supporters to bury their political differences, since “disunity will not help the party to win power in 2016.
