The Northern Regional secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the weekend inaugurated a 2016 elections campaign team with a call on members to work hard to help wrest power from the ruling National Democratic Congress Party and exert good governance to Ghanaians.

Mr Daniel Bugri Naabu, the Regional Chairman of the NPP who is also the Campaign Manager of the 34-member team, said the team was poised towards winning more parliamentary seats and garnering more votes for the Presidential Candidate of the Party.

He said the abysmal performance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given much hope to the Party in the coming elections, but warned members not be complacent saying, “We need to work harder than before and with zeal and commitment”.

Mr Naabu said Ghanaians were suffering and were looking up to the NPP as the only alternative, and advised the Committee to be extra vigilant throughout the elections, claiming that the NDC could not win the 2016 general election, if the NPP remained vigilant at the polling stations.

He urged the parliamentary candidates of the Party not to fold their arms in despair for lack of resources for campaigns and urged them to try as much as possible to seek resources that would help them in their activities.

Mr Naabu indicated that the Party would not entertain any petty squabbles but would cooperate with everybody towards winning the general elections saying, "The interest of the Party remains supreme".

He said the hand of God was upon the Flagbearer of the Party to salvage Ghanaians from the sufferings that they were going through saying, “The hand of God is on Nana Addo and the NPP winning this year’s elections and no human hands can stop it”.
