Subriso-Ashanti, Feb. 18, GNA - The New Edubiase Constituency of New Patriotic Party (NPP) is poised to wrestle the parliamentary seat that has eluded them since 1992 from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) this year.
This follows a new strategy of campaign being mapped out by the party dubbed "Operation win all votes" in both Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
Mr Thomas Mensah, NPP Constituency Chairman announced this when introducing Mr De-Graft Kyei-Baffour, as NPP Parliamentary Candidate for New Edubiase to the electorate at Subriso-Ashanti in the Adansi South District at the weekend.
He said from interactions with the people it was realised that, it was only under the NPP government administration that standard of living had improved with the provision of good roads, electricity, potable water and other social amenities.
Mr Mensah called on the people to return the NPP to power to enable it continue with its developmental agenda especially in rural communities.
He called on supporters and sympathisers of the Party to be wary of people who would infiltrate their ranks to sow divisions among them. Mr Kyei-Baffour said logistics would be provided for the foot soldiers to enable them reach every hamlet in the constituency to explain the need for the electorate to return NPP to power and win the parliamentary seat for the first time. He pledged to champion the needs of the people when elected. Similar interactions were held at Wuruyie, Nkranfo-Nkwanta and Apagya.
