Builsa North legislator James Agalga has backed the reelection of the Chairman of the Finance Committee of parliament Mark Asigbey Yeboah as the New Patriotic Party goes to primaries on Saturday.

According to him, even though he belongs to the opposite side of the House, Mr Asigbey Yeboah has acquitted himself well as head of the Committee.

“He has acquitted himself well at the Finance Committee, he is a good legislator and Parliament needs continuity,” he told Bola Ray on Starr Chat.

The ruling party will elect Parliamentary candidates across the country for the December polls on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Meanwhile, the Party will next week Saturday, June 27, 2020 acclaim President Akufo-Addo as its flagbearer for the December polls.

The acclamation, according to the party, will be done at a Council meeting in Accra before the media relevant stakeholders.

“The NPP will, on Saturday, June 27, 2020, acclaim the sole Candidate who filed his nomination to contest in the 2020 Presidential Primaries, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as the Party’s Presidential Candidate.

“The acclamation of the Presidential Candidate together with his Running Mate will be done at a special National Council meeting of the Party to be held in Accra with the media and relevant stakeholders in attendance,” the party said in a statement signed its General secretary John Boadu.

The party also said it will conduct some outstanding parliamentary primaries on the same day.
