NPP race: ‘We need Alan’s humility to win 2016’ – Anane

New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Nhyaeso, Dr Richard Anane, has said the party requires a flagbearer who is tolerant and humble in order to wrestle power from the governing National Democratic congress in the 2016 elections.

Dr. Anane urged delegates of the party to vote for presidential hopeful, Alan Kyerematen, who he believes possesses the qualities, and personality Ghanaians need in a president, in the October conference scheduled to elect a flagbearer.

“First we need someone who is presentable enough to lead our party. Such a person like Alan will best represent our collective will. Even in international circles he is respected because of his personality.

“We must also elect a leader who is humble and tolerant enough to listen and respect our views, a leader who will appreciate our opinions and respect wise counsel and the whole of Ghana knows that Alan is blessed with such humility” the medical doctor told a gathering at the campaign launch of the former trades minister in Accra, Saturday.

Kyerematen and MP Francis Addai-Nimoh will contest the party’s two-time presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo for the standard bearer slot of the main opposition party in the October conference.
