Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, the Middle-Belt Campaign Coordinator for the Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has said the party will win 15 new parliamentary seats in the Middle-Belt.

According to him, the ruling party is poised for a massive victory in the middle belt regions with a predicted 99 seats.

Addressing the media in Kumasi to climax the campaign in the middle belt zone for the ruling party, the ever-confident and beaming legislator predicted that the NPP is set to deliver a massive blow to the opposition NDC on Saturday.

Ayew Afriye said all the necessary structures and preparations have been put in place to ensure a resounding victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to him, the NPP has five major indicators in the middle belt going into this weekend's polls, adding that one of them will be to cause an upset in the backyard of the home region of the NDC Chairman.

"We can state emphatically that after an exhaustive and comprehensive campaign across all six regions, the NPP is set to win a total of 99 seats in Ashanti, Eastern, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North, and Eastern Regions," he predicted.

According to him, the seats the ruling party is set to annex on Saturday include the Tain Constituency, which is the constituency of the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah.

He said that though the party encountered tough times in the course of the campaign, having been confronted with several challenges, the NPP managed to surmount all the hurdles thanks to the remarkable work done by the flagbearer, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, and the energetic and experienced members of his campaign team.

"We are clear in our minds that the NPP will achieve more than 51% of the total votes, and the Middle-Belt Regions are poised to deliver for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia," he predicted.

The Effiduase-Asokore Member of Parliament noted that Ghanaians have clearly accepted that the Vice President and the NPP have solid and time-tested policies and programmes that can move the country forward, compared to the former President, whose campaign has been full of insults and incendiary messages.
