The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has expressed optimism about the party's victory in the upcoming election.

Speaking at the 'Possibilities Victory Rally' held on December 5, 2024, at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate Park, he emphasised his strong belief in the party's success.

"The NDC cannot challenge Dr. Bawumia's vision for Ghana, so they want to stir religious discrimination. We won't allow them. On December 7, we are going to vote. We are winning the election. Nothing can change it; nothing can stop it. The NDC cannot stop it. Mahama will not contest the 2028 election; he will be accountable for only four years," he noted.

The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party also condemned the rise of tribal politics, emphasising that since independence, religion has never been a divisive factor in Ghanaian elections.

He pointed out that all past Presidents, from Busia to Akufo-Addo, have been united in their approach to governance, regardless of religious affiliations.

"We are all Ghanaians, whether Christian, Muslim, or Traditionalist," he asserted, lamenting the recent introduction of religious issues into the current election cycle.

He further explained that religion should not define the leadership of the country, drawing comparisons to other nations like China, where Christianity is not the dominant religion.

"God loves everybody. If you go to China today, how many of them are Christians?" he remarked.

Justin Kodua stressed that Dr. Bawumia's dynamic vision for Ghana cannot be challenged by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

"I can assure you that with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, we are going to have a dynamic President," he added.
