Assin Adiembra (C/R), Oct. 10, GNA - The Assemblyman for Assin Adiembra in the central Region, Mr Derrick Owusu-Ambrose has urged the youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to use their youthful energies to promote the image of the party and to help it to win the December election.
They should refrain from activities and utterances, which could make people see the party in bad light.
Mr Owusu-Ambrose cautioned them against taking the law into their own hands because their party was in power. Rather, he said "we should use our lifestyles to project the party as a disciplined one".
Mr Owusu-Ambrose who is a pharmacist at the Saltpond Government Hospital was addressing a meeting of supporters of the party at Assin Adiembra in the Assin South District.
He noted that the success of the party's programmes depended to a large extent on the youth and called on them to accept the challenge to move from house to house to explain government policies and programmes to enable the electorate to make informed opinions before the voting day.
Mr Owusu-Ambrose cautioned the party, especially the campaign teams against complacency saying that though the odds favoured the NPP to win the December election "we should not leave any stone unturned". He announced plans to organise training workshops for the youth in his electoral area on how to become effective foot soldiers.
"There is the need to equip them with campaigning skills and provide them with good messages to enable them to deliver", he added.
