This was contained in a statement issued by the NPP NASSRA Club in the Upper East Region and signed by Mr. Mubarak Muntari, Secretary of the Club at Bolgatanga. The statement said members who were fully endowed with the Danquah/Busia/Dombo tradition are committed to the party and could sacrifice their energy and all they have to champion the cause of the party. It said before the NPP congress, it was agreed by the majority of the members of the party that a person who was endowed with the Dankwa/Busia/Dombo tradition be elected as the presidential candidate of the party.
