With just a few days left until the general elections, the National Muslim Women for NPP have thrown their weight behind Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party.
This declaration was made during a gathering where Samira Bawumia engaged with the women on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Kawukudi in Accra. According to the group, Dr. Bawumia is the best choice to move the nation forward with his digitalization ideas.
The National Muslim Women for NPP believe that Dr. Bawumia's leadership will bring about transformative change, particularly in the Zongo communities. They are impressed by his initiatives, such as the plan to support Arabic instructors within the Zongo communities nationwide. This initiative demonstrates Dr. Bawumia's commitment to empowering the Zongo communities and promoting inclusive development.
Speaking at the gathering, the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, urged the women to stay focused and vote for Mahamudu Bawumia to continue the developmental agendas being carried out under the NPP government.
She emphasized that the NPP and Bawumia-led government would support these Muslim women to achieve their desires by transforming their lives through initiatives like creating job opportunities, among other life-changing projects across the Zongo communities.
Hajia Ramatu Tibi-Damba, the vice president of the National Muslim Women for NPP, called for support from all angles for Bawumia to ensure total victory.
"We believe that Dr. Bawumia has the vision and leadership to take our country to the next level, and we are committed to supporting him every step of the way," she said. The group is optimistic that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win this year's election and is poised to support him throughout his campaign.
The group's support demonstrates the growing confidence in Dr. Bawumia's leadership and his ability to deliver on his promises. As the general elections approach, the National Muslim Women for NPP will play a crucial role in mobilizing support for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP.
