Ndebugre organises victory rally

Zebilla, Jan. 4, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) elect for the Bawku West Constituency of the Upper East Region, Mr. John Akparibo Ndebugre, at the weekend extended a hand of forgiveness and reconciliation to people in and out of the constituency, urging all to help move the nation forward.

He said: "If I have wronged anybody, I ask for forgiveness and any person who thinks he or she has wronged me and cannot come forward, I forgive that person also".

Mr. Ndebugre said this when he addressed a mammoth victory rally at Zebilla.

He said at 55, he was matured enough to refrain from any frivolities and unguarded utterances and thanked his supporters, chiefs and all those who assisted him in diverse ways, saying his victory was for democracy.

The MP elect promised to defend the Constitution and pledged to be accountable to the people by fighting corruption at all levels. On the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC), Mr. Ndebugre said even though it was meant to reconcile the people it had rather divided them. He said there could not be reconciliation if people did not agree that they had done wrong, adding that it was the duty of Parliament to reconcile the nation for the sake of posterity.
